I went to the Bardo Museum in Tunis last week and was happy to see it had reopened so soon, 6 days, after being the site of Tunisia’s deadliest terrorist. That evening, March 18th, thousands of Tunisians and tourists demonstrated on the streets around Bardo chanting, “Tunisia is free, terrorism out!”
Terrorism is a tactic whose success depends not on physical destruction, but how societies react to an attack. Although it is often the loudest voice, terrorism does not speak for Islam or the Arab world – to believe so is to give into the main objective of the attackers, fear.
