The author of one of my favorite reads in recent years The Signal And The Noise, Nate Silver compiled this infographic using multiple data points. He explains,
“I made these calculations using Google Maps, taking a sample of six weekday arrival times — 8 a.m., 10:08 a.m., 12:15 p.m., 2:52 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and 8:45 p.m. — and looking up how long it would to get from an airport to a city’s downtown on average using public transit.”
