I think those aspects – the grittiness mainly – is what I found interesting about the video. It’s not nearly as polished as most others and looks into the alleys and neighborhood streets.

Istanbul was my home for 3 years, and this video depicts it as totally Muslim. Only covered and veiled women, men who look hard and aggresive and so much poverty. This would be a terrible video to show to encourage Westerners to visit what is one of the most amazing cities in the world, with the friendliest people you could wish to meet:(
