The other day I visited Animal Aid, an organization started by an American family after a trip to Udaipur, India 15 years ago. They had no experience with animals or running a charity but they’ve saved thousands of hurt, sick, and abandoned animals through their work. Dogs like this who have mange (a disease not contactable by humans) are treated a released to where they were found. Local communities are educated as well to reduce practices such as tying donkey’s legs which can severely injure them. Animal Aid’s over 40 volunteers have made a big impact to improve the lives of all animals, humans included.
You can help support Animal Aid by making a donation here or by volunteering as little of an hour of your time when you visit Udaipur. A great story that was very inspiring to me personally and I hope you read more about.
